We prepare our students to be global scholars by teaching them a set of Core Values and Character Traits. These Core Values and Traits are modeled effectively by our teachers and staff so students see constant examples of these attributes.

Charlotte Choice Charter School offers an array of special area/elective classes for our students, including PE, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Spanish, and STEM Lab. These are all required classes that our students take in order to help them become college and career ready and become competitive and competent leaders within our society.

What are some ways CCC enhances scholars in the areas of STEAM?

CCC recently received a matching grant for the YouthTouch Technology Integration package for elementary students. YouthTouch offers creative learning tools, designed to complement existing curriculum and support common core standards. The YouthTouch Technology Integration comprehensive package comprises all of the tools necessary to integrate technology into 3rd through 8th grade classrooms.  This package and grant will provide our scholars with a firmer understanding of ratios, area, coordinates, graphing, plus over 100 other Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Language Arts, and Social Studies concepts. During the 2015-16 school year, CCC developed additional instruction and learning opportunities for scholars and parents, including May Math Blitz. May Math Blitz was designed as an opportunity to provide scholars with additional instruction on each Saturday during the month of May in preparation for EOG (end of grade) testing. Additionally, parents were invited to attend the sessions and also learn concepts, tools, and techniques to help their students study math and practice their skills at home. Overall, May Math Blitz was a wonderful success and a testament to the importance of parents, teachers, and students working together to excel and achieve at school and at home.

Does CCC provide athletics for its scholars?

Yes, at CCC, we believe that sports and extracurricular activities are great ways to teach scholars characteristics like teamwork, respect, and determination. Sports and athletics are also a wonderful way to keep scholars active and provide physical and fun activities for them to enjoy.
